Nicky has worked in various administrative, managerial and customer related roles throughout the last 30 years. Beginning her working career at the MED (Municipal Electricity Department, later known as Southpower) and working her way to her final position as Corporate Credit Manager. This role involved the management of a very large debtors ledger. In 1995, Nicky took on ownership of a restaurant, managing all operational aspects. She sold this business when she and Mike started a family in 2000. Over the preceding years Nicky took on roles as Chairperson of the kids school PTA, as an elected member of the school's Board of Trustees, worked in a "front line" role as part of the Christchurch Earthquake Recovery, and provided administrative support to a few local businesses. Although managing the administrative side of HCom from its incorporation Nicky joined Mike, full time, in early 2020 when they began to prepare for the purchase and merger of Radata Systems with Holland Communications.
