+64 21 344 769Mike's introduction to the Electronics industry began in the late 80's, with his first full time job on the assembly line at Tait Electronics. During the dozen or so years that he remained at Taits he worked in Product Support (providing customers with after sales support); Engineering (working in transmitter design), Application Engineering (working on customised solutions); and Type Approval (ensuring product compliance to international standards). Mike then spent two years in the building industry before returning to Taits for a few more years, on contract, to assist with servicing, support and project work. Following this, Mike joined the team at Salcom as their Systems Engineering Manager, by this time firmly embedded in the Electronics industry. In 2001, Mike resigned as a permanant full time employee of Salcom but formed Holland Communications Ltd and continued to contract to Salcom for several years, as he and Nicky built HCom into a viable business that supported their young family. The rest, as they say, is history.
